Quickstep Mod QS5 Composite Manufacturing Facility

The Quickstep Qure™ process uses a heat-transfer liquid in a unique mould bladder design to heat and cure composites under tightly-controlled conditions. Since the heat-transfer liquid has a much higher thermal conductivity than the gas used in autoclave cures, the Quickstep Qure™ process results in cheaper and much faster cure cycles.

The system uses a simple computer control which is easy to use and allows accurate control of the plant. Highly complex shapes can be achieved using different tool configurations.

Specifications:

  • Capable of manufacturing parts up to 5 m2
  • Heating temperatures up to 1900°C
  • Standard flat panels 900 x 900 mm2
