Carbon fibre composites manufacturers now have access to a new technology that decreases oxidation process time from 80–110 minutes down to less than 15 minutes, making it possible to produce 360% more carbon fibre by volume in less time and with lower capital and energy costs. The technology, which was developed by Deakin University has since been licensed to LeMond Carbon.
